Viewing a Regatta as a Participant

Navigate the regatta page to find results, announcements, entries, and other important race information

As a regatta participant, the regatta home page is your hub for all information and actions related to the event. This page allows you to register, view all event details, see race results, check announcements, and submit protests or scoring inquiries.

What You Can Do on the Regatta Page

The regatta home page provides access to:

  1. Register for the event
  2. See all event details and information
  3. View all racing fleets and classes
  4. See the list of all existing entries
  5. View race results and standings
  6. Read announcements from race organizers
  7. Check the notice board for official posts
  8. Submit protests or scoring inquiries

Basic Navigation

Everything you need to know about the regatta can be found in the navigation menu bar. You can navigate it by scrolling horizontally or using the menu drop-down button.

Tip:

On mobile devices or smaller screens, use the menu drop-down to access all tabs. You can scroll the tab bar horizontally to see additional tabs.

Tabs Explained

The regatta page is organized into several tabs, each providing different types of information:

Overview

Shows basic details of the regatta and the description provided by the race organizers

Classes

Displays all the fleets and racing classes configured for the regatta

Entries

Shows all current entries organized by fleet. Includes a toggle to display crew members for each boat

Results

Displays series results for each fleet and results for each scoring group. Also allows you to access per-race detailed views

Announcements

Shows a running log of all announcements made by the race organizers

Notice Board

Displays a running log of all notice board posts made by the race organizers

Documents

Shows uploaded Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions documents

Submit

This is where you can submit protests or scoring inquiries if you have any concerns about race results

Tip:

Check the Announcements and Notice Board tabs regularly for important updates from the race committee during the event.

Viewing Results

To view detailed race results:

  1. Click the Results tab
  2. Select your fleet from the available options
  3. View series standings or select individual races for detailed breakdowns
  4. Corrected times and penalties (if any) will be displayed for each race

Finding Documents

Important racing documents can be found in the Documents tab, including:

  • Notice of Race - Official rules and race format
  • Sailing Instructions - Specific instructions for this regatta
  • Other documents provided by organizers

Read these documents carefully before racing to understand the specific rules and procedures for the event.

Submitting Protests and Scoring Inquiries

If you have concerns about race results or wish to file a protest:

  1. Click the Submit tab
  2. Select "Protest" or "Scoring Inquiry" depending on your issue
  3. Fill out the form with details about your concern
  4. Submit the form to notify the race committee

The race committee will review your submission and may contact you with updates on the status of your protest or inquiry.
